coLAB studio stands with the protesters at this time of upheaval. We believe the men and women in the military and police forces are, by far and away, good people who work hard to help people. But there are also systemic issues getting in the way of justice and equity in the United States. It needs to be repaired, and it needs to be done now. We all need to educate ourselves and work towards the goal of true equity and equality.
If you want to help and do not know where or how to do so, click on this link, which will take you a lot of links providing avenues to help move us towards greater justice and/or helping out those in need.

coLAB + Jones Studio runs SMOCA Teen Architecture Workshop for sixth consecutive year /
Matthew and Maria Salenger of coLAB studio - along with the generous leaders of Jones Studio, Inc.- hosted the annual SMOCA Inspiring Aspiring Architects workshop for the sixth consecutive year. The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art advertises the course while we match the students with mentors to run teenagers through a four hour studio course to cover a myriad of experiences. We talk about what architects do, show students how to draw and build models in scale, and mentor them through designing a space for their favorite activity.
Its a great event, with the students and mentors always saying how fun the half day is. If you have a teenager interested in joining the next workshop, let us know through our contact page. And if you would like to be a mentor, please let us know that as well.
